International Caps (CAPEX) - Al Watania For Industries is Hiring: Production Engineer – Dubai

We are looking for a hands-on Production Engineer to run our metal twist-off cap production lines efficiently and safely at International Caps (CAPEX) - Al Watania For Industries, our factory in Dubai, UAE. Our caps are used on glass jars and bottles for food and beverage customers.

Key responsibilities:

- Supervise daily production on sheet coating, printing, pressing, and compound lining lines to meet output and delivery targets

- Monitor line and machine performance and resolve process issues quickly

- Control cap quality on the line, including dimensions, lug forming, compound placement, and print quality, together with the Quality team

- Reduce scrap, tinplate waste, and downtime through process improvement

- Support size and design changeovers, tooling setups, new product trials, and startups

- Track production KPIs such as OEE, output, scrap rate, and downtime

- Work with Maintenance and Planning teams to keep lines running to schedule

- Lead shift teams and train operators on SOPs and safe working practices

- Follow and enforce safety and lockout procedures at all times

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on production experience in metal closures, twist-off caps, or CAN Making (Steel & Metal) manufacturing (mandatory)

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering

- Good knowledge of metal packaging processes such as coating, printing, pressing, and lining

- Basic knowledge of Lean tools such as 5S and Kaizen, and root cause analysis

- Based in the UAE or willing to relocate to Dubai

- Willingness to work shifts

Preferred: Experience with press tooling and twist-off cap lines, ERP systems such as SAP, and food-contact packaging standards such as FSSC 22000 or BRCGS.
