Coupang Play is an OTT video streaming service. We offer a wide range of content, including Original Series, TV Shows, Movies, and Sports.
We are in the business of delivering exceptional storytelling. We produce award-winning scripted and unscripted Original Series, such as “Boyhood ”, “Anna ”, and “SNL Korea ”. We believe Sports can also be elevated by creative storytelling. Play is now an authoritative destination for Sports, broadcasting K-League, La Liga, Bundesliga, F1, NFL, and other leading leagues and tournaments. We also offer some of the latest movies that were just released in local theaters, bringing more exceptional storytelling to our customers .
To ensure that we deliver all content seamlessly, we invest in Engineering, Product, and Design. Coupang Play is available on all mobile devices, tablets, PC, Smart TV, Apple TV, and Android TV. Our teams keep optimizing how customers discover and stream both VOD and Live content. That includes investments in frontend, backend, and infrastructural developments. We also embrace Machine Learning to refine our CX.

Role Overview
The Analytics team at Coupang Play operates at the intersection of Business, Product, Content, Marketing, and Technology to drive user engagement and monetization. As a Staff Data Analyst, you will serve as a strategic analytics leader, partnering closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams to tackle complex business challenges. You will architect enterprise-level self-serve data solutions, establish unified metric definitions, and transform raw data into compelling strategic narratives. In this high-impact role, you will also elevate organizational analytics capabilities and drive long-term business growth in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
- Lead end-to-end data solutions by resolving ambiguous business problems, diagnosing root causes of metric drift, and establishing enterprise-grade analytics requirements.
- Architect robust data models, metric definitions, and executive dashboards to measure and accelerate key business metrics across cross-functional teams.
- Standardize business and product metric definitions across Product, Finance, and Marketing to align executive decision-making.
- Investigate system failure modes, sub-optimal data logging, and outdated data models to drive long-term structural fixes across technical systems.
- Deliver strategic data narratives and top-line recommendations to senior executives while providing technical deep dives for product and engineering teams.
- Champion modern AI tooling and advanced analytical techniques to scale capabilities, optimize workflows, and drive innovation across the analytics organization.
- Mentor senior analysts, establish data analytics best practices, and set high engineering and analytical standards for the broader team.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or data science leveraging complex datasets with SQL
- Proven track record of designing data marts, building data pipelines, and implementing advanced data visualization solutions
- Extensive experience designing complex experimentation frameworks, conducting A/B testing, and applying advanced statistical methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior executive decision-making through data-driven narratives and lead technical analytics projects concurrently
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep industry expertise or strong passion for global video streaming services and the OTT/entertainment ecosystem
- Advanced proficiency with analytical programming languages such as Python or R
- Proven expertise in enterprise data modeling, schema design, and data warehouse architecture
- Outstanding leadership, executive stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills
- Professional fluency in both English and Korean for effective cross-border communication
