This is a hands-on leadership opportunity suited to someone who enjoys being close to operations, developing people and finding practical solutions in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities

- Respond to enquiries from Ward Delivery staff, hospital customers, internal stakeholders and transport providers, ensuring issues are resolved effectively and in a timely manner.
- Investigate, record and resolve stock and inventory-related queries.
- Maintain customer inventory information, including imprest locations and levels, product movements and discarded products.
- Coordinate training and development for Ward Delivery employees, including cross-training and rotation across customer sites.
- Ensure appropriate team coverage is available for planned and unplanned leave to maintain customer service schedules.
- Coordinate service requirements around public holidays in partnership with customers, Distribution and Transport.
- Support the onboarding of new customers, including site scoping, reporting and validation of site surveys.
- Maintain appropriate product storage and transportation practices in line with Good Warehousing Practice (GWP) and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor operational Key Performance Indicators and identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with Distribution Operations, Materials Management, Quality Assurance, Transport, Customer Service and other teams to resolve operational issues.
- Build effective relationships with regional distribution centres, transport providers and healthcare customers.
- Champion a safe working environment by following Environmental, Health & Safety requirements, completing required training and promptly reporting hazards, near misses and incidents.
- Promote a culture of integrity, respect, teamwork, quality, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key requirements

- Hands-on experience within warehousing, distribution or a similar operational environment.
- A Certificate III in Transport & Distribution, or relevant equivalent experience/qualification.
- Experience leading, coordinating or providing day-to-day guidance to operational teams.
- A licence or relevant competency to operate applicable materials handling equipment.
- Sound computer skills and the ability to work with warehouse systems, including introductory experience with RF technology.
- Strong understanding of warehouse procedures, inventory controls and safe operating practices.
- Previous experience working with regulated products, healthcare distribution or similar environments will be highly regarded.
