About this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in resolving problems escalated by customers or Blue Yonder associates, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Consult with customers and associates regarding the maintenance and performance of software systems.
- Escalate issues that may negatively impact scheduling or financial outcomes.
- Accurately estimate specifications and resource requirements for complex projects.
- Optimize Blue Yonder's profit margin through quality design and minimizing unprofitable rework and post-implementation support.
- Participate in customer liaison activities to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
- Provide estimates to project managers regarding complex work and resource needs.
- Lead small technical teams as necessary to achieve project goals.
- Collaborate with the customer's MIS team to manage technical activities throughout each implementation phase.
- Work with the project team to refine and define project technical requirements based on technical specifications.
- Diagnose business and technical expectations to align project deliverables with client needs.
- Engage with the customer team during the design, development, testing, and implementation phases of projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical consulting or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, SQL) and software development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead small teams effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
- Understanding of project management principles and practices.
