Key purpose of the Job
The Graduate Trainee is responsible for ensuring that sewing machines are maintained in optimal working condition to minimize downtime. The role also involves providing technical support and solutions to sewing associates and the quality team for garment-related issues encountered during production operations. The role holder will primarily work on the production floor. The candidate should be willing to work at any Brandix plant across Sri Lanka (Avissawella, Batticaloa, Mirigama, Rambukkana, Ratmalana Finishing, Nivithigala, Rideegama, Koggala, Wathupitiwala).
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring sewing machines are maintained in optimal condition to minimize downtime and providing solutions for garment-related technical issues during plant operations
- Focus on automation machine sewing programs to enhance productivity and quality
- Work on ergonomics, workplace arrangements, and cut panel handling projects to improve productivity
- Address and resolve issues with the real-time data capturing system, ensuring its continuous accuracy and reliability
- Drive continuous improvements in productivity and efficiency through innovation, process optimization, and automation, while identifying production bottlenecks and opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a reputed university
## Experience
Internship experience in a sewing or apparel manufacturing environment
