We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Food Safety Officer to support food safety and hygiene management across our 7-Eleven Hong Kong store network. In this role, you will work closely with store operations, concession partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with food safety standards, mitigate operational risks, and drive continuous improvement in food safety performance.

The challenge is to:

- Support 7-Eleven Hong Kong store operations in implementing DFI's food safety policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and mitigate food safety risks across Hot Shot, and concession counters, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Conduct store audits and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions related to food safety and hygiene compliance.
- Provide food safety coaching, guidance, and training to store operations teams to strengthen food safety awareness and best practices.
- Partner with store teams to drive continuous improvement in food hygiene and food safety performance.
- Track and report food safety performance indicators for Hot Shot counters and identify emerging trends or risks.
- Monitor the implementation of food safety procedures and operational controls across stores.
- Conduct site visits for new store openings, refits, and remodeling projects, ensuring food safety requirements are incorporated into store design and operations.
- Investigate food safety incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Support customer complaint investigations related to food safety and product quality concerns.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including pest control providers, cleaning chemical suppliers, testing laboratories, and regulatory authorities when required.
- Participate in food safety improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects assigned by the Head of Food Safety & Regulatory Affairs.

Do you have experience in Food Safety Management?

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food safety, food quality, technical services, or hygiene management within food retail, foodservice, FMCG, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Solid understanding of food safety principles, food microbiology, hygiene practices, and risk management.
- Good knowledge of food safety requirements including safe and hygienic production, storage, and selling for both packaged foods and ready-to-eat products.
- Familiarity with Hong Kong food regulations and food safety compliance requirements.
- Experience in retail or convenience stores, or supermarket operations would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of internationally recognized food safety management systems such as HACCP, FSSC 22000 / BRC is preferred.
- Experience handling and investigating customer complaints, product incidents, and food safety issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and implement practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and operational levels.
- Strong project coordination and execution capabilities.
