Accountabilities
In this role, you will lead engineering execution, strengthen organizational capabilities, and ensure technical teams deliver scalable, reliable solutions aligned with business objectives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering managers across multiple teams, fostering strong leadership and accountability.
- Establish clear expectations for delivery, engineering quality, team performance, and organizational health.
- Oversee engineering execution, including planning, delivery predictability, prioritization, and cross-team coordination.
- Provide technical leadership on software architecture, system reliability, and complex production challenges.
- Define and monitor engineering effectiveness metrics, identifying opportunities to improve development processes and delivery outcomes.
- Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, and customer-facing teams to align technical priorities with business needs.
- Participate in customer discussions involving complex integrations, technical challenges, and escalations when necessary.
Requirements
The ideal candidate combines extensive software engineering experience with proven leadership capabilities and a strong track record of scaling engineering organizations. You should demonstrate:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial hands-on technical work.
- 4+ years of engineering management experience, including managing other engineering managers.
- Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams within a fast-growing organization.
- Strong technical expertise in backend development, API services, third-party integrations, and production automation.
- Experience building or leading teams developing AI-powered products and automation solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to scale engineering organizations while maintaining delivery quality and operational effectiveness.
- A proven track record of improving execution, accountability, engineering processes, and team performance.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including enterprise customers.
- Strong ownership mentality, sound judgment, and a results-oriented approach to leadership.
