We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Dental Nurse to become involved in the NHS Paediatric Dental Pilot, supporting our practice in Acton.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who has a passion for children's oral health and would enjoy taking on additional responsibilities within a community outreach role.
Hours - 3.5 hours per month
This role will be flexible but likely need to be during weekdays between the hours of 9AM-5PM (could be weekends depending on events) and may possibly involve more hours occasionally.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the NHS Paediatric Dental Pilot by helping to promote access to NHS dental services for children and engaging with local community services.
Responsibilities may include:
• Building relationships with local schools, nurseries, health visitors and other community organisations.
• Promoting oral health awareness and encouraging families to access NHS dental care.
• Supporting community engagement and outreach initiatives.
• Working closely with the practice teams to support the objectives of the pilot.
• Providing updates on outreach activities and engagement.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- We are looking for a Qualified Dental Nurse with a specific interest in children's oral health
- Experience in outreach work within dentistry is highly desirable
- Dentally software experience is preferred but not essential
- Ensuring CQC requirements are met at all times
- Experience in providing exceptional patient care/customer service
