About this role

Position Overview

The Onsite Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is the full-service sales professional at the Binswanger Glass branch — serving walk-in and phone customers, managing the complete quote-to-close cycle, and handling the branch-level operational tasks that keep field work running. This role combines sales expertise with hands-on coordination of invoicing, purchasing, and materials, making it a cornerstone of day-to-day branch performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve walk-in and inbound phone customers; apply the Binswanger sales process on every interaction: greet professionally, establish rapport, determine needs, quote, schedule, follow up within 48 hours, and close

- Prepare accurate quotes before and after field measure using approved phone scripting and email templates; send all formal quotes via Salesforce the same day

- Meet measure sheet SLAs: quote and send within 1 hour if received by 4:00 PM; by 10:00 AM next business day if received after 4:00 PM; vendor pricing response within 18 hours

- Execute structured follow-up cadence: 1st contact at 48 hours, 2nd at 4 days, 3rd at 7 days; mark Close Lost if under $250 with no response after 3 attempts

- Schedule and confirm field measures and installation appointments; conduct preliminary customer follow-up for install scheduling

- Process daily invoicing; create purchase orders for jobs up to $500; order and receive materials; confirm material order acknowledgements

- Scan packing slips for procurement; process ROAs for checks received at the service center for billing accounts; assist with inventory as needed

- Distribute national account jobs and online lead requests to the appropriate Binswanger location; respond to inbound email and web inquiries

- Document all interactions, opportunity stages, notes, and outcomes in Salesforce on the same day; maintain accurate ETAs throughout the sales cycle

- Use warm transfers only; answer calls within 30 seconds; ensure proper call dispositions; participate in team huddles, coaching sessions, and call reviews
