Each project has a planned capacity of 1.4 GW, providing a combined capacity of 4.2 GW to support the UK’s renewable energy ambitions. In this role, you will lead Offshore Operations HSE planning, assurance and delivery across assigned Norfolk assets. You will help build a strong safety culture and support operational readiness throughout commissioning, handover and ongoing operations and maintenance. - Prioritise risk-based assurance for electrical and mechanical work, lifting, marine logistics, access, maintenance and commissioning interfaces.

- Assure the transfer of significant risks, controls, HSE information, actions and lessons to O&M, with clear ownership and effective follow-up.

- Lead contractor HSE input, inspections, audits, assurance reviews and significant incident investigations, ensuring findings and corrective actions are resolved and lessons are shared.

- Implement and continuously improve operational HSE management systems, documentation, risk assessments, procedures and work packages in line with legal and company requirements.

- Coordinate specialist assurance covering environmental compliance, pollution prevention, occupational health, welfare, emergency preparedness and operational change.

- Report monthly HSE on performance, compliance, trends, risks, objectives and recommendations to senior management and the Project Board.

- Develop allocated HSE personnel, ensure competent operational cover and represent the Norfolk assets in internal and external HSE forums.

Job requirements and experience

- NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent higher-level HSE qualification.

- Environmental management knowledge or a relevant qualification such as the IEMA Foundation Certificate.

- Auditing experience or a relevant qualification such as ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 Internal Auditor.

- Significant HSE experience in offshore wind, renewables or a comparable high-risk industry, including operational delivery or transition support.

- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and experience implementing and improving HSE management systems.

- Experience in risk-based assurance, inspections, contractor HSE management and the effective close-out of findings.

- HSE leadership experience during commissioning, handover or operational transition, including emergency preparedness and contractor interfaces.

- Experience leading incident investigations and verifying sustained corrective actions.

- Strong judgement, stakeholder management, planning, coaching, risk communication as well as strong written and spoken English.

- Ability to work offshore regularly and meet the required medical, fitness and safety training standards.

Advantageous, but not essential

- IOSH Chartered membership or active progress towards Chartered status.

- Offshore wind O&M experience involving construction and commissioning interfaces.

- Experience working with wind turbine OEMs.

- Knowledge of offshore electrical and mechanical systems, lifting, marine logistics and turbine maintenance.
