## What Is the Opportunity?
Travelers is seeking a Director, Agile Product Owner to join our organization to lead a team to deliver capabilities/solutions in an agile way. This role decides product priorities for the producer management platform, influences direction with business partners and domain product owners, and recommends larger investments to the Tech Circle Lead. In this position you will act as a voice of the end-user to guide day-to-day work of a cross-functional team, focusing on achievement of defined outcomes versus defining how the work is completed.
## Product direction and ownership

- Decide backlog priorities and sequencing for the producer management platform, including its AI assistant products.

- Influence direction with business partners and domain product owners so platform capability and the changes they lead move together.

- Recommend investments and cross-domain trade-offs to the Tech Circle Lead, who makes the final call.

- Own the product vision and roadmap, and keep both clear and current.

Partnering with the business on new capability

- Build a working understanding of how the business operates and what it is trying to achieve.

- Work alongside business partners to explore where new capability, including AI, could help, and bring options and ideas to those conversations.

- Shape shared needs into clear features, with business partners involved in the decisions.

- Help partners see the value of new capability, and support adoption once it ships.

AI products

- Shape conversational AI experiences for agents and the teams who support them.

- Identify where agentic workflows can take on routine, multi-step work, starting small and expanding as results prove out.

- Look for where AI can help in the platform’s integrations and data flows, not only in user-facing features.

- Partner with engineering on design choices, guardrails, and what is ready for production.

Backlog and delivery

- Write and refine epics and features with clear outcomes and acceptance criteria.

- Work with the Scrum Master and engineering on planning, trade-offs, and delivery.

- Define what success looks like and measure it.

Leadership and collaboration

- Build trusted relationships with business partners, domain product owners, and engineering, and keep them informed and involved.

- Frame choices clearly so partners can make informed decisions, and bring groups to agreement on priorities and trade-offs.

- Follow through on commitments, and close the loop when plans change.

- Work with the platform engineering lead, Scrum Master, experience design, and architecture to shape solutions.

- Communicate product direction, progress, and risk clearly to business and technology leadership.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

- Bachelor’s degree.
- Six or more years of experience in Agile product management.
- Two years of work experience within the discipline being supported (e.g.: Claim, Risk Control, Technology, Project Management, Production, Application Development, etc.).
- Three years of experience articulating and translating business strategy, product vision, and analysis for a product.
- Product leadership on conversational AI experiences or agentic workflows

- Applying AI beyond the user interface, including integrations and data flows

- Platform product thinking across multiple capabilities and user groups

- Working with technical teams on design trade-offs, guardrails, and production readiness

- Data-informed decisions and outcome measurement

- Insurance distribution, producer licensing, or onboarding experience

What is a Must Have?

- Three years of work experience in related field.
- Three years of experience motivating/influencing teams.
