To strengthen our team, we're looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor. Are you not afraid to roll up your sleeves, enjoy working with people, and take pride in a job well done? Join us on our journey!
## Be you with us
Our culture is built on taking ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement. We own it, we care deeply and we stay curious together. We challenge ourselves to think differently, move fast and create experiences that matter. As Hotel Manager, you will play a vital role in bringing that vision to life.
## The role
As our Housekeeping Supervisor, you're the eyes and ears of the housekeeping team on the floor. You make sure rooms are spotless, daily cleaning tasks are completed on time, and your colleagues have everything they need to do their jobs well. You're not someone who just gives instructions from the sidelines. You roll up your sleeves, lead by example, and help wherever needed. Together with the Housekeeping Manager, you make sure every guest walks into a clean, comfortable, and welcoming space.
- Lead by example: Supervise the housekeeping team during your shift, provide clear instructions, and support colleagues with their daily tasks.
- Keep things on track: Distribute daily cleaning assignments, monitor progress, and adjust priorities when needed to ensure rooms are ready on time.
- Check every detail: Inspect cleaned guest rooms and public areas, identify anything that needs attention, and make sure our cleanliness and presentation standards are met.
- Be hands-on: Support the team with cleaning rooms and public areas whenever needed, especially during busy shifts.
- Stay connected: Keep Front Office updated on room status, report maintenance issues, and communicate any operational challenges to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Support your colleagues: Show new team members how things are done, explain cleaning procedures, and provide practical guidance and feedback on the floor.
- Keep things organised: Make sure cleaning trolleys, linen, supplies, and equipment are ready for use and report shortages or damaged items.
- Solve it on the spot: Handle small day-to-day issues and guest requests quickly, while escalating more complex situations to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Do good: Follow our hygiene, safety, and sustainability standards and encourage colleagues to use cleaning products, water, and energy responsibly.
What you'll bring to the table
- You know the ropes: You have at least 1–2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel, and understand what it takes to keep rooms and public areas in excellent condition.
- You lead by example: You enjoy guiding colleagues on the floor and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and help with daily cleaning tasks.
- You've got an eye for detail: You easily spot things others might miss and take pride in delivering consistently high cleaning standards.
- You keep things organised: You can divide tasks, monitor progress, and adjust priorities when the day doesn't go as planned.
- You're approachable: Colleagues feel comfortable asking you questions, and you know how to give clear instructions and constructive feedback.
- You're a problem solver: You handle everyday challenges calmly and know when to involve the Housekeeping Manager.
- You're a team player: You communicate clearly with colleagues and other departments to keep daily operations running smoothly.
- You speak the language: You're comfortable communicating in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
