About this role
About the Role
As the first go-to-market hire at an AI company, you will build the early enterprise sales motion and own both prospecting and closing. This hands-on individual contributor role combines business development and full-cycle sales, with customer insights feeding directly into product decisions.
What You'll Do
- Identify the best-fit buyer personas and enterprise customer segments.
- Build outbound campaigns from the ground up, including prospect lists, email sequences, and channel tests.
- Experiment with sales channels and tactics, using results to decide what to continue or change.
- Source and close deals, setting clear success criteria with customers for each pilot.
- Independently scope and run proofs of concept through to a customer decision.
- Learn how AI agents work with customers and relay their needs, feedback, and objections to the product team.
- Manage a sales budget and take ownership of pipeline and closing targets.
What We're Looking For
- 1 to 7 years of experience, with a record of personally sourcing and closing enterprise deals and consistently exceeding quota.
- Experience independently running customer proofs of concept.
- Ability to quickly understand a prospect's business model and financial metrics, and discuss relevant numbers early in the sales process.
- Fluency with modern go-to-market tools and experience building custom sales workflows and automation.
- Strong written communication for technical and financial stakeholders.
- Resourcefulness in reaching decision-makers when standard outreach channels are not effective.
- A data-driven, experimental approach to sales, plus resilience and a collaborative mindset.
- Interest in how AI agents may change enterprise work. Startup, founder, or competitive athletics experience is relevant.
