About this role
Hospitality Lead — Whop
The role
Our Palo Alto office is where the team builds, ships, eats and debates in person 5–6 days a week. The space should make that work easier every single day. We are hiring a Hospitality Lead to run it.
You will be the first person every guest meets and the person every employee goes to when they need something done. You will own the front desk, the daily operation of the office, meals, events and the vendors behind all of it. When it works, nobody notices. That is the point.
You will work close to the details, build the systems that keep the office running without reminders, and make sure nothing that lands on your desk gets lost.
Who you are
- You have two to three or more years in hospitality or workplace roles, such as hotel, restaurant or members' club guest services, reception, or office or workplace coordination, ideally including time at a startup
- You have run a front desk, a busy office or a hospitality floor where guests and requests never stopped coming
- You are organized at a level other people notice. You track every open request, every reorder and every event detail, and nothing you own gets dropped
- You have high agency. You see what needs to happen and do it before anyone asks
- You take full ownership. When something goes wrong, you fix it, tell the right person and make sure it does not happen again
- People trust you with their needs. They hand you a request and stop thinking about it, because they know you will close the loop
- You bring the same energy and care to the 8 a.m. delivery and the 8 p.m. dinner setup, and you lift the mood of the room on the hardest days
- You communicate clearly and directly with employees, leaders, guests and vendors, and you protect confidential information
- You stay calm when priorities change and move quickly when they do
- You use AI tools and simple systems to work faster and keep everything running without reminders
We expect strong candidates to come from one of the following backgrounds:
- A hospitality professional from a hotel, restaurant or members' club with two to three or more years of guest-facing experience, ready to bring that standard to a high-growth startup
- A Receptionist, Office Coordinator or Workplace Coordinator at a high-growth startup, ready to own the full office experience
- A Workplace Experience Coordinator who has helped an office scale through rapid headcount growth
Preferred qualifications
- Experience coordinating daily catered meals for 50 or more people
- Experience planning and running company events, offsites or all-hands
- Experience managing vendor relationships and an office budget
- Familiarity with visitor management, request tracking or inventory tools
Is this role a fit?
This is a hands-on role, in the office every day. It is best suited to someone who takes pride in the details, wants to own the full experience of a space and wants to grow with a company that is moving fast. Success here means the team does its best work because you took everything else off their plate.
How we work
Whop is an in-office company of about 100 people. Most of the team are former founders and entrepreneurs. We give people real agency, meaningful resources and ownership of hard problems. We expect everyone to move fast, tell the truth and improve every surface they touch.
- Be technical. Your work is correct, grounded in fact and holds up to scrutiny
- Force function. Solve the root cause and make the system materially better
- Disagree, then commit. Debate hard before a decision, then execute together
We welcome candidates from non-traditional backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every listed qualification.
The bar
We want someone who runs our office with the same speed, rigor and care as the rest of Whop. We care less about the exact titles you have held and more about the spaces you have run, the people who relied on you and whether you made the place meaningfully better.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary of $85,000–$110,000 + meaningful equity
- Health, vision and dental coverage
- Flexible PTO
- Equinox membership
- Lunch and dinner, Monday through Friday
Equal opportunity
Whop is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other status protected by law. If you need a reasonable accommodation during the hiring process, please let us know.
