About this role

At La Fosse Academy, we help people from a wide range of backgrounds build careers in technology. We’re looking for an Placements & Community Lead to shape how we support our Associates from the start of training into client roles, and throughout their time in our community.

This is a senior, hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys combining commercial planning, programme delivery and people development. You’ll have the scope to set the approach, put your ideas into practice and see the impact of your work on people’s careers.

About La Fosse

We’re an employee-owned talent solutions business operating across Recruitment, Executive Search, Technology Solutions, Apprenticeships and Hire, Train & Deploy.

Our mission is to create a working world where talent is recognised for its value, not its background. Through our Academy, we help people develop the technical and professional skills they need to succeed, connecting them with opportunities at our client organisations.

The opportunity

You’ll lead our placement strategy and delivery, making sure Associates have the preparation, support and opportunities they need to move from training into work.

Working closely with Sales, Training, Talent Acquisition, Engagement and Marketing, you’ll bring together what our clients need and what our Associates can offer. You’ll also help shape future cohorts, using market insight and client conversations to plan ahead.

Your focus will be to:

- Create successful placements: match Associates with suitable opportunities, support their interview preparation and guide them through placement and client onboarding.
- Turn demand into workable plans: assess and coordinate client-led cohorts, agreeing realistic requirements for skills, location, numbers and timings.
- Build a connected community: keep learners, placed Associates and alumni engaged through regular communication, events, development opportunities and recognition.
- Bring teams together: create clear, practical ways of working so Associates receive consistent support and everyone understands what needs to happen next.
- Keep improving the experience: use placement data, client insight and Associate feedback to strengthen career readiness, placement outcomes and future cohort planning.

Our Talent Acquisition team leads attraction and selection. You’ll provide the demand insight and clear briefs that help them plan effectively, taking ownership of the Associate placement journey when training begins.

Requirements

What you’ll bring

Your background could be in placements, early careers, recruitment, workforce planning or talent programmes. We’re looking for someone who brings:

- Experience leading a programme or service across multiple teams, with responsibility for both planning and delivery.
- Commercial judgement and the confidence to challenge unrealistic expectations, agree priorities and turn complex requests into clear plans.
- Strong project management and stakeholder skills, with the ability to keep people aligned as priorities change.
- Experience supporting people through interviews, placements, onboarding or career development.
- Confidence using data and market insight to make decisions, alongside a clear commitment to widening access to careers in technology.

You’ll enjoy taking ownership, getting involved in the detail and improving how things work.

Why join La Fosse?

Employee ownership means you’ll have a voice in the business and share in our success, with profit-sharing and opportunities to build long-term wealth.

You’ll join an ambitious, collaborative team that values learning, development and meaningful careers. In this role, you’ll have real influence over how the Academy grows, how we work with clients and how we help Associates take their next step.
