About this role

Join the team bringing autonomy to the built world

At Bedrock, we're moving AI out of the lab and onto real job sites. Our team includes veterans who helped launch Waymo, scaled Segment to a $3.2B acquisition, and grew Uber Freight to $5B in revenue. We retrofit the heavy equipment contractors already own, starting with excavators, so experienced crews can safely take on more projects and deliver more of the critical infrastructure our society needs.

In August 2026, Bedrock-equipped excavators began doing fully autonomous, paid work on live commercial job sites. We've more than doubled our customer base since 2025, and our machines now work with contractors across the South, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic

In October 2026, we raised a $600M Series C co-led by CapitalG and Emergence Capital, bringing our total funding to nearly $1B. We're using it to put more autonomous machines to work, build the field and operations teams behind every deployment, and expand into new machine types and job-site tasks.

This is where algorithms meet steel-toed boots. You'll work alongside construction veterans and world-class engineers to solve physical-world problems that simulations can't touch. If you're ready to do meaningful work on hard problems, we'd love to have you join us.

About the Role

We're hiring an Executive Business Partner to be a strategic partner to our CEO and CTO. This is not a calendar-only role. You'll manage their time as the company's most valuable resource, anticipate what they need before they ask, and turn their priorities into follow-through across Bedrock.

You'll be the main gateway to the executive office for employees, board members, investors, customers, and partners. You'll bring business judgment to every request, adapt to two very different leadership styles, and keep both executives focused on the work only they can do.

You'll also help shape how our leadership team works with AI. You'll use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and AI scheduling and meeting assistants every day, and keep finding ways to automate the routine so your time goes to judgment, relationships, and higher-impact work.

As we grow, this role sets the standard for executive support at Bedrock. You'll help define how future executive and administrative partners work, and your scope will grow into strategic projects and how the leadership team runs.

What You'll Do

Strategic partnership and time management

- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and CTO, knowing their goals well enough to make calls on their behalf
- Manage both calendars end to end: resolve conflicts, protect focus time, and decide what gets time, what moves, and what gets a polite no
- Prepare each executive for meetings, board sessions, customer visits, and presentations with clear briefing materials
- Track executive commitments and action items, and hold owners to their deadlines

Leadership operating rhythm

- Support the design and execution of the leadership team's operating cadence, including weekly staff meetings, quarterly planning, and offsites
- Own agendas, pre-reads, meeting notes, decisions, and follow-through so leadership meetings drive action
- Partner with leaders across Finance, People, Operations, and Engineering on company communications and priorities

AI-enabled productivity

- Use AI tools daily (for example Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and AI scheduling and meeting assistants) to draft, summarize, research, and prepare materials faster
- Build repeatable AI workflows for inbox triage, meeting notes, briefing docs, and weekly executive summaries
- Test new tools, measure the time they save, and share what works with other teams
- Use sound judgment on accuracy and confidentiality when working with AI, following company data policies

Stakeholder management and communications

- Serve as the main point of contact for the executive office and build trusted relationships with board members, investors, customers, and partners
- Triage email and Slack so only what needs an executive's attention reaches them
- Draft correspondence, updates, and internal announcements in each executive's voice

Board and investor support

- Coordinate board meetings end to end: scheduling, deck assembly, pre-reads, notes, and action items
- Support investor updates and keep fundraising materials and data rooms organized
- Own the monthly All Hands from content gathering through delivery

Operations and strategic projects

- Lead small to medium projects and events from start to finish, from leadership offsites to internal programs
- Streamline executive office processes and spot gaps in how the leadership team operates
- Manage executive office budgets, expenses, and vendor invoices
- Use data to track progress and inform decisions, building simple dashboards in Google Sheets or similar tools
- Help define standards and onboard future executive and administrative partners as the team grows

Recruiting support

- Coordinate executive interviews and senior candidate sell meetings with the Talent team

Travel and events

- Plan complex domestic and international travel, including visits to customer job sites
- Organize executive dinners, customer visits, and company events

What We're Looking For

Required

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of direct support to C-level executives or founders, including at least 2 years supporting multiple executives at once
- Experience in a venture-backed startup or fast-paced technology company where priorities change quickly
- Hands-on fluency with AI tools in your daily work, with concrete examples of workflows you've built or time you've saved
- Experience running an executive operating cadence or leading projects beyond core administrative support
- Business acumen and analytical problem solving. You can read a situation, weigh tradeoffs, and recommend a path
- Ability to adapt to different leadership styles and keep two executives' priorities working as one system
- Sound judgment and discretion with confidential board, investor, financial, and people information
- Excellent writing. You can draft a clear email in someone else's voice that they'd send without edits
- Expert skills in Google Workspace, plus Slack and Zoom, and you pick up new tools quickly

Preferred

- Experience supporting a CTO, technical founder, or AI or engineering organization with changing roadmaps
- Exposure to board meetings, fundraising, or investor relations
- Experience with AI scheduling agents or building automations with no-code tools (such as Zapier or Make)
- Comfort with data tools such as advanced Google Sheets, Looker, or Tableau
- Experience mentoring or leading other executive or administrative partners
- Background in robotics, autonomy, hardware, construction, or industrial technology

Physical and travel requirements

- Work on site at our San Francisco office five days a week
- Occasional domestic and international travel with or ahead of the executives, including to customer job sites
