Whether you’re analyzing data, working sources, shooting in the field or experimenting with a new way to tell a story, you’ll focus on journalism that connects with audiences wherever they are. If you want to push beyond the traditional reporter playbook and create ambitious, memorable journalism with purpose, this is your opportunity.

- Shoot video and still photography and edit visual content to create complete, engaging multimedia stories.
- Deliver polished on-camera reporting, including live reports, taped interviews, narration and breaking-news coverage from the field.
- Own stories from idea through publication, determining the strongest focus, structure, visuals and storytelling approach for each platform.
- Collaborate with photographers, producers, digital teams and newsroom colleagues to strengthen coverage and maximize the reach and impact of reporting.
- Contribute to daily news coverage while balancing enterprise and accountability reporting that may require longer-term research and development.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

- Generally, 5+ years of journalism or related experience preferred , including experience reporting, writing and producing stories across multiple platforms.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to provide proof of insurance meeting company-required limits are required. This position requires driving as part of the job.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

- Strong investigative instincts, curiosity and the persistence to keep digging when a story demands more.
- Advanced critical-thinking and research skills, with the ability to make sense of complicated subjects, statistics and records.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong command of compelling, accurate storytelling.
- A confident and engaging on-air presence, including the ability to communicate clearly during live and breaking coverage.
- Multimedia skills and the willingness to report, shoot, write, edit and produce content across platforms.
- The ability to juggle daily assignments, enterprise reporting and multiple developing stories in a fast-paced newsroom while consistently meeting deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to working effectively with journalists and colleagues throughout the station.
- Sound editorial judgment and a commitment to accuracy, fairness, verification and accountability journalism.

OUR TEAM:

At KTNV, you’ll join a collaborative newsroom focused on serving the Las Vegas community with journalism that informs, explains and creates impact. Our team brings together journalists with different backgrounds, perspectives, experiences and interests, united by curiosity and a commitment to telling stories that matter.
