Corporate Communications & Digital Experience Intern

The JM Family College Internship Program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program, you will actively contribute to your team’s success, learn about JM Family’s companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities, networking events and much more.

The ideal candidate will be available to work full time during the Summer Internship Program ( May 24th, 2027 - July 30th, 2027 ).

Interns will engage in meaningful work and gain insights into specific projects or tasks, providing hands-on experience and contributing to various department initiatives. They will learn about JM Family’s culture including our core values: Consideration, Cooperation, Communication, Innovation and Accountability. These core values are part of our keys to success and the skills that embody these values are what drive our success as an organization.

As a Corporate Communications & Digital Experience Intern , you will gain hands-on experience across Corporate Communications, supporting writing, content development, communications campaigns and digital channels. You will contribute to projects that enhance the associate experience, strengthen internal communications and support broader business priorities.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze intranet usage patterns and identify opportunities to improve the digital associate experience.
- Develop recommendations that help associates find information faster and complete tasks more efficiently.
- Support internal communications campaigns from planning through execution.
- Assist with writing, editing and developing engaging content for internal audiences.
- Support Corporate Communications channels, including The Hub and Viva Engage.
- Assist with day-to-day communications requests and department initiatives.

Qualifications:

- This is a full-time position with flexible working arrangements depending on the business need.
- The ideal candidate will be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or other degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university, with a focus in a relevant field. Candidates in related fields will also be considered. Must have completed at least one semester of coursework.
- Preferred fields of study include Communications, Marketing, Journalism or English.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Interest or experience in digital marketing, communications strategy and campaign planning.
- Familiarity with data and analytics and/or user experience (UX) concepts.
- Exposure to AI tools and Canva is preferred.
