Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with an established commercial laundry and healthcare linen services company seeking dependable and experienced CDL Class A Route Drivers to join its team in Batavia, NY.

This position involves transporting, picking up, and delivering hospital linens to medical facilities while ensuring safe, timely, and professional service.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A CDL, at least one year of driving experience, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to perform physically demanding loading and unloading duties.

Important: This is a union facility, and candidates must be flexible with assigned start times of 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 7:00 PM, or 10:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate company trucks to pick up and deliver hospital linens to multiple medical facilities.
- Load and unload clean and soiled laundry carts at customer locations.
- Push and pull wheeled laundry carts weighing up to 800 pounds.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and company safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate daily and weekly delivery paperwork and route documentation.
- Complete assigned routes efficiently while meeting established delivery schedules.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at hospitals and healthcare facilities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized vehicle and work environment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding deliveries or route issues.
- Cross-train on additional routes as needed to support business operations.
- Assist with transporting company equipment for maintenance or repairs when required.
- Work additional hours as needed to accommodate delivery or production demands.

Required Qualifications

- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience .
- Clean driving record in accordance with company requirements.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and hours-of-service requirements.
- Ability to safely load, unload, push, and pull heavy wheeled laundry carts.
- Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and complete required delivery documentation in English.
- Willingness to work afternoon, evening, or overnight shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Ability to follow established routes, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Dependable attendance and a professional attitude.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to push and pull wheeled laundry carts weighing up to 800 pounds.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds overhead.
- Ability to bend, twist, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday.
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for up to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation & Schedule

- Base Pay: $26.95 per hour.
- Shift Differential: Additional $0.25–$0.50 per hour, depending on assigned shift.
- Schedule: Full-Time, typically 40 hours per week.
- Available Start Times: 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM, 7:00 PM, or 10:00 PM.
- Work Environment: Union facility with shift flexibility required.
- Employment: Direct Hire.
