Get to Know the Opportunity:

This position is part of Voya Investment Management (Voya IM) and our Summer Student Program, offering students the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the investment management industry while working alongside professionals across the Voya IM organization.

The Investment Analytics Intern will support portfolio analytics and help deliver customized analytical and operational solutions to Portfolio Management, Asset Managers, Voya clients, and other internal stakeholders. This opportunity provides exposure to investment data, portfolio analytics, quality control, and industry-leading investment management tools.

This role is based near our Atlanta office, with expected onsite presence on average up to 3 days per week to support team and business priorities.

The Contributions You’ll Make:

- Collaborate with front-office teams across asset classes to help develop analytical solutions using BlackRock Solutions’ Aladdin investment management platform, Power BI, and WebFOCUS.
- Perform daily and monthly quality control activities to help ensure data integrity before information is released to end users.
- Assist with setting up portfolios and benchmarks within BlackRock Aladdin.
- Support project tracking by maintaining logs with key updates, monitoring workstream deliverables and deadlines, and coordinating with contributors to move action items forward.
- Complete relevant projects and assignments that support the Investment Data & Analytics team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with individuals across different areas of the Voya organization.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Results-oriented self-starter with the initiative to move project-related workstreams forward.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including experience communicating with classmates, faculty, or other stakeholders.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, accounting, or a related field.
- Relevant coursework in finance.
- Interest in pursuing a career in the investment industry, preferably within portfolio analytics or investment management.
- Experience with SQL or VBA is a strong plus.
- Interest in learning investment management and analytical platforms, including BlackRock Aladdin, Power BI, and WebFOCUS.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
