About this role

Description

Amazon Leo is building the world's most advanced low Earth orbit satellite network, delivering fast, affordable broadband to enterprise and consumer customers globally. This is one of the most ambitious infrastructure programs in Amazon's history — combining satellite manufacturing, silicon development, global supply chain, terrestrial infrastructure, and enterprise technology at unprecedented scale. Leo Infrastructure Finance is at the center of it all.

It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are looking for an entrepreneurial minded Senior Financial Analyst to support the Payload Antenna Development organization — the team responsible for designing, building, and sustaining the satellite's most complex subsystem: the Phased Array Antenna (PAA). The team concurrently manages three full-lifecycle programs — Gen1 production and constellation operations, Gen2 PAA development, and Direct-to-Device (D2D), a new phased array architecture enabling satellite-to-handset connectivity. This role may also support a broader consolidation scope spanning ground infrastructure and payload antenna systems across these programs.

The successful candidate will partner with engineering and finance leaders across hardware development, RF & antenna technology, systems engineering, and test infrastructure to develop operating plans, track multi-program budgets spanning OPEX and CAPEX, and deliver financial insights that enable leadership to make resource allocation decisions across competing program priorities. You will need to be strategic, analytical, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where multiple programs compete for shared resources, lab venues, and funding.

Key job responsibilities
- Partner with Payload engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to manage competing priorities and provide financial guidance across Gen1 PAA production, Gen2 PAA development and D2D phased array development.

- Own multi-program P&L and cost models spanning hardware development builds, antenna test infrastructure, and lab facility investments, and develop accurate Operating Plans, Guidance, headcount plans, and incremental funding requests with clear trade-off and risk narratives.

- Build financial models that quantify cost, schedule, and risk trade-offs — such as antenna test venue contention, dedicated facility investment, and resource allocation across concurrent PAA and ground gateway programs — to drive data-driven decision making.

- Present financial summaries, variance analysis, and business insights to Senior Management (Business and Finance), connecting financial data to hardware program milestones and launch readiness.

- Identify opportunities to improve, automate, or simplify financial processes and reporting tools to scale controllership as program complexity grows.

- Participate in Finance initiatives including month-end close, ad hoc analyses, and periodic reporting activities.
