About this role

Berry Street is building on the convergence of AI, GLP-1s, and the consumerization of healthcare, and using insurance to make life-changing metabolic care as accessible as possible. Our platform connects patients with 2,000+ clinicians and AI tools to treat obesity, diabetes/prediabetes, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, maternal health, and dozens of other conditions, in partnership with major health plans, health systems, and care management companies across all 50 states. We launched in 2023, have served hundreds of thousands of patients, and are Series B, backed by Khosla, Northzone, FJ Labs, and the founders of Revolut, Grow Therapy, and Spring Health.

The Role

In March 2026 we launched our GLP-1 program, and it's become one of the fastest-growing parts of the business. Getting on a GLP-1 through insurance is still confusing, slow, and intimidating for most people: eligibility, labs, prior authorizations, pharmacy logistics, dosing, side effects, and staying on track for the long haul. We think great design is how that changes, and we're hiring a Senior Product Designer to help make it feel simple, trustworthy, and human.

You'll start focused on the GLP-1 experience, designing across the patient journey (from first touch and intake through prescribing, ongoing care, and long-term engagement) and the clinician tools that make prescribing and monitoring work at scale. Expect a generalist seat: as the business evolves, you'll move to wherever design can have the most impact, across patient, provider, and internal surfaces. You'll work closely with our Head of Product and Lead Product Designer, alongside engineering, clinical, and operations teams, with a lot of autonomy and a direct line to leadership.

What you’ll work on

- Own design end-to-end for the GLP-1 experience, from discovery and research through prototyping, visual design, and launch
- Untangle complex, high-stakes flows (eligibility, insurance coverage and prior authorizations, prescribing, refills, and side-effect support) and make them feel clear and reassuring
- Design for engagement and retention, helping patients build habits and stay on track over months, not just get through onboarding
- Shape how AI shows up in the product, including guidance, matching, decision support, and personalized moments, in ways that are useful and earn patients' trust
- Prototype quickly, often with AI tools, and use working artifacts to align product, engineering, clinical, and ops teams and ship fast
- Design clinician- and ops-facing tools that help our providers deliver great care efficiently
- Use data, research, and direct conversations with patients and providers to inform decisions and keep improving what's live
- Contribute to and evolve our design system, and help shape a culture of craft and care as the team grows

Requirements

- 5+ years of product design experience. You've shipped digital products end-to-end, ideally consumer mobile and web, and you have a portfolio that shows both your process and your finished craft.
- Strong craft, high bar. You bring excellent interaction and visual design skills and a "no detail is too small" mentality. Your work feels simple, elegant, and trustworthy.
- Comfortable with complexity. You're energized by messy, regulated, multi-stakeholder problems and know how to turn them into experiences that feel effortless. Healthcare, fintech, insurance, or other high-trust domains are a plus.
- AI-forward. You use AI tools in your own workflow to explore and prototype faster, and you have a point of view on designing AI-powered experiences that people actually trust.
- A generalist who loves ownership. You can move between patient, provider, and internal tools, take projects from vague idea to shipped, and operate with high autonomy in a low-process environment.
- Collaborative and direct. Low ego, high conviction. You seek out feedback, push the thinking, and help the team decide and move.
- In-office in NYC. This role is based full-time at our Madison Square Park office.
