DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Job Profile Summary:
Directs all aspects of an organization's logistics management function to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

- Leads the execution of an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations.
- Oversees critical and related inventory, distribution, and transportation functions that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Establish governance and quality auditing processes to monitor vendor performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost.
- Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function.
- Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
- Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

- Bachelor’s degree.
- Regulatory knowledge
- 5+ years of management experience
- 10+ years of related experience
- Significant experience working with high profile, strategic customers, preferably institutions of higher education.
- Travel as needed
- Proficiency   in English, including the ability to speak, read, write, and   comprehend   English, is   required   for this position

- Extensive experience managing operational customer service teams.
- Strong strategic and customer focus with a clear understanding of the issues impacting the key markets and clients.
- Profit and Loss Management
- Proven management experience in a senior, strategic level role
- Established track record of exceeding targets, KPI’s and SLA’s
- Able to interpret data and develop strategy and make recommendations.
- Demonstrate ability to motivate and communicate with others at all levels.
- Able to build strong relationships.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Able to adapt and succeed in a changing environment.
- Evidence of well-developed leadership skills
- Able to work with all levels of individuals all the way up to President or C-level suite.
- Possess a learner’s mindset

Physical Requirements:

- Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
- Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
