We have one of the largest dedicated team with decades of cumulative experience in sustainable design, fire and life safety, cost management, façade engineering, commissioning, building performance, waste management, environmental consultancy, carbon management and acoustics.Job PurposeAssociate Electrical Engineer, reporting directly to the Company Electrical Lead, responsible for the design, coordination and delivery of electrical building services across built environment projects in the GCC, with a focus on the UAE.Provide strategic technical leadership and authoritative guidance on all electrical disciplines, including power distribution, lighting, earthing and lightning protection, life safety and renewable energy systems.Lead the QA/QC of the electrical design team's deliverables, ensuring technical excellence, consistency and compliance with project briefs, company standards and regulatory requirements.Develop, implement and maintain company electrical standards, design manuals, templates and quality systems aligned with international best practice.Act as the primary electrical engineering interface with clients, architects, contractors, other disciplines and regulatory authorities.Capable of independently delivering complex electrical designs from concept through construction support whilst maintaining technical excellence and commercial awareness.Qualification and ExperienceDegree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field.Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation (CIBSE, IET, IEEE or equivalent).Minimum of 15 years' experience in the design and delivery of electrical building services within the MEPF and built environment sector.Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior or associate-level engineering role within a consultancy or design organisation.Extensive GCC project experience with a strong portfolio of delivered projects, focused on the UAE.Demonstrable experience leading electrical design on large-scale, complex developments including healthcare, hospitality, commercial, residential and mixed-use.Proficiency in design and analysis software such as:Revit and AutoCAD (BIM modelling and multidisciplinary coordination)Electrical design and calculation software such as Amtech, ETAP or SKMLighting design software such as DIALux or ReluxStrong knowledge of international and local electrical codes and standards:BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), BS / EN and IEC Standards (including IEC 60364 and IEC 61439)CIBSE Guides and Design GuidanceUAE / GCC codes and local authority requirementsDemonstrable experience developing, implementing and maintaining company standards, design manuals and QA/QC systems.ResponsibilitiesLead the QA/QC of the electrical design team's deliverables, including drawings, calculations, specifications and reports.Develop, implement and maintain company electrical standards, design manuals, templates and quality systems.Lead the design and coordination of electrical building services including:LV and MV Power Distribution SystemsSubstations, Generators and Uninterruptible Power SuppliesInternal and External Lighting DesignEarthing and Lightning Protection SystemsFire Alarm and Life Safety SystemsRenewable Energy and Photovoltaic SystemsBuilding Controls and Energy Management IntegrationPerform and review engineering calculations, load estimations, cable sizing and protection coordination using Amtech or ETAP.Lead BIM-enabled design delivery and multidisciplinary coordination using Revit.Review specialist contractor designs, calculations and submittals.Develop technical reports, basis of design and specifications.Lead authority approval submissions including Dubai Municipality, DEWA and relevant regulatory bodies.Ensure designs comply with project briefs, client standards and regulatory requirements
