Are you passionate about helping vulnerable populations navigate complex healthcare systems? Join Fourth Street Clinic as a full-time Insurance Enrollment Specialist ! In this role, you will guide patients and community members through Medicaid and Marketplace applications, ensuring accurate insurance information is maintained in our EMR system. You'll work closely with front desk and billing teams to provide compassionate, patient-centered support while improving access to essential healthcare services.

What You'll Do
- Provide one-on-one application assistance for Medicaid and Marketplace programs for patients and community members
- Collaborate with community partners to enroll individuals in available insurance programs
- Collect co-payments, past balances, and generate Good Faith Estimates according to sliding fee schedules
- Manage the front-end cash drawer and ensure accurate documentation of payments received
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of eligibility criteria and insurance restrictions
- Participate in in-clinic and outreach services, including open enrollment initiatives
- Collect and track outreach and enrollment data for compliance with grants, reporting, and outcome-driven projects
- Educate patients and families on public program eligibility, benefits, and the importance of health coverage
- Provide referrals to clinic services and community resources to support patient well-being
- Deliver information in a fair, accurate, culturally sensitive, and impartial manner
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years (or more) of customer service experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EMR systems
- Spanish-speaking abilities
- Conflict resolution skills
- Prior experience with Medicaid and Marketplace applications
Work Environment
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform movements including pushing, balancing, stooping, twisting, and sitting
- Extended hours using a computer and telephone
