About this role
Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future
Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America. By combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and other mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost.
Following our $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, Hadrian is rapidly expanding our manufacturing footprint, launching new capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, additive manufacturing, and more, while scaling our Factory-as-a-Service platform to transform how critical products are built.
Backed by leading investors including JPMorgan Chase, Valor Equity Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, 137 Ventures, Lux Capital, T. Rowe Price, and Morgan Stanley, we’re building the future of American manufacturing—and looking for exceptional people to help make it happen.
If you’re ready to take on the most challenging and rewarding work of your career while helping create American manufacturing jobs for generations to come, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
The Role:
The Operational Finance team at Hadrian drives both the strategic direction and the day-to-day execution of our advanced manufacturing mission. We partner closely with Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, and Business leadership to build the company plan and the models, processes, and financial frameworks behind our biggest decisions.
As a Senior Corporate Finance Associate, you’ll own the central company forecast, which is the single view of where Hadrian is heading. You will be in charge of consolidating changes from the Finance team, Operations, and functional leaders and reporting high-level financials to the senior leadership. You will provide the foundation upon which decisions related to M&A, growth opportunities, fundraising, and company planning are made. You will be responsible for coordinating with the rest of the finance team, individual program owners and experts and ensure we have a highly accurate and detailed view of the company. You will continuously improve the overall forecasting process and help develop systems that are used to update and maintain the forecast and its outputs.
##
What You’ll Do
- Own the consolidated company forecast (the three-statement model, spend and headcount outlook), including its accuracy, and periodic reforecast cycles
- Lead the annual operating plan and long-range planning processes, from gathering inputs to final leadership sign-off
- Manage the forecast updates from Program Finance, Sales, Operations, and department owners. Set the calendar and input templates, challenge submissions, and incorporate them into a single, maintainable model
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses on large program investments, department plans, and financing
- Own cash and liquidity forecasting, including capex timing, and financing needs, working closely with Capital Markets
- Build and present materials for senior leadership, board meetings and investor updates. Distill a complex, fast-moving forecast into a clear financial summary. Be able to produce views on spend actuals, variances, and the impact of decisions on the forecast
- Run month-end variance analysis with Accounting, and make sure the forecast ties to actuals and to our accounting frameworks
- Improve the plumbing: partner with the Finance Systems team to standardize inputs and outputs and automate the consolidation
What We’re Looking For
- 2-3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, FP&A, or corporate development, including time owning a multi-entity consolidated forecast or building three-statement models
- Expert financial modeling, including cash flow forecasting and scenario analysis. You can build an integrated three-statement model from scratch and keep it accurate as a large number of data inputs change underneath it
- A track record of running a recurring forecast or planning process with many contributors, owning the calendar, deadlines and quality of submissions
- Strong PowerPoint and storytelling skills. You’ve built executive- or board-level materials
- Composure and credibility in front of senior leaders. You’re comfortable defending the numbers and answering questions on the spot
- Meticulous attention to detail and version control
- Enough curiosity to learn what’s behind an engineer’s or operator’s forecast, not just accept the number they send
What Will Set You Apart
- Investment banking experience (especially industrials or A&D) followed by a move towards corporate FP&A
- Experience at a high-growth, VC- or PE-backed company, including reporting to a board or sponsors
- Exposure to government contracts and incentives
- Investor, lender, or covenant reporting and familiarity with various types of debt
- Exposure to capital-intensive industries: aerospace and defense, advanced manufacturing, automotive, energy, or data centers
- NetSuite, a planning tool (Adaptive, Anaplan, Pigment, or similar), SQL, or BI tools
- A builder mindset: you’d rather fix a broken process than work around it
