This Structural Engineer role focuses on performing detailed engineering calculations and preparing technical data for industrial projects, with an emphasis on steel and concrete structures in refinery, chemical, and heavy industrial facilities. You will contribute to both design and field activities, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers, and may lead select single-discipline projects from planning through completion. The position offers interesting projects, significant autonomy, and the option to work in a hybrid on-site or fully remote environment, depending on location.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed structural engineering calculations and prepare accurate technical data and information for industrial projects.

- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices for steel and concrete design.
- Proficiency in Revit (BIM) for industrial and structural design applications.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with AutoCAD for structural and industrial design.
- Ability to perform detailed engineering calculations and prepare clear technical documentation.
- Experience managing project scope, schedule, and deliverables within budget constraints.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and external suppliers.
- EIT or Professional Engineer (P.E.) credential is desired but not required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Civil Engineering degree with a concentration in structural engineering is preferred.
- Experience in industrial structural design, including refinery, chemical, and heavy industrial facilities.
- Background in industrial design using Revit and AutoCAD for structural projects.
- Familiarity with structural engineering for steel and concrete in industrial settings.
- Ability to lead select single-discipline projects, including planning, staffing recommendations, and drawing review.
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in field and installation environments.
- Comfort presenting technical information to both internal teams and external client audiences.
- EIT certification or P.E. license is preferred and considered an asset, though not mandatory.
Work Environment
The role supports a flexible work environment with options for hybrid on-site work if you are local to the office, or a fully remote work arrangement using a dedicated remote workstation. You will work on interesting industrial projects that offer a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. Daily work involves the use of Revit (BIM) and AutoCAD for structural and industrial design, as well as collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external suppliers. The environment emphasizes professional independence, technical excellence, and clear communication across project stakeholders.
