Position Overview
MEI Auto Finance is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Underwriter to join our Verifications Department. Youll analyze and verify subprime credit applications from eight independent dealerships, ensuring accuracy while providing support to both dealer personnel and customers.
What Youll Do
- Review and verify documents provided by customers
- Record and track any deficiencies in our application system
- Analyze credit applications and credit bureau reports
- Make outbound calls to complete employment, residency, and other verifications
- Deliver excellent customer service to dealers and consumers
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Stay organized and detail-oriented while multitasking in a fast-paced environment

- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable managing high-volume phone work and using computer systems
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Able to stay focused and productive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Able to pass a background check
