About this role

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Join an inclusive team passionate about one thing: using their expertise in the relentless pursuit of innovation for customers and partners. The solutions we build help make everything from virtual reality experiences to breakthroughs in neural networks possible. We do it all while committing to integrity, sustainability, and giving back to our communities. Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.

Responsibilities

- Photolithography Process Development: Develop, optimize, characterize, and qualify photolithography processes for advanced NAND technology nodes. Identify process limitations and develop practical solutions that meet yield, reliability, performance, and cost requirements.
- Technology Development: Evaluate emerging lithography processes, materials, equipment, and methodologies. Identify disruptive or enabling technologies early and work with Manufacturing, Technology Development, equipment suppliers, and cross-functional partners to establish viable implementation paths.
- AI and Advanced Analytics: Explore and apply AI, machine learning, statistical analysis, modeling, and automation to accelerate process development, improve process understanding, identify systematic signatures, optimize process windows, and improve engineering productivity.
- Process Modeling and Optimization: Utilize experimental data, DOE, process modeling, image analysis, and advanced analytics to understand process interactions and systematically optimize lithography performance.
- Innovation: Develop creative solutions to challenging lithography problems through experimentation, modeling, and data-driven engineering. Contribute to intellectual property, patents, technical papers, engineering methodologies, and internal technical knowledge.
- Technology Roadmap: Develop a strong understanding of the photolithography technology roadmap and monitor technology trends within the semiconductor industry. Evaluate emerging capabilities for potential application to future NAND technology requirements.
- Yield and Process Improvement: Investigate process-related yield, defectivity, reliability, overlay, CD, focus, process-window, and patterning issues. Apply structured problem-solving and data analysis to identify root causes and implement sustainable improvements.
- Equipment and Material Evaluation: Partner with equipment and material suppliers to evaluate new lithography capabilities, including exposure systems, track systems, photoresists, ancillary materials, process-control solutions, metrology, and computational lithography technologies.
- Technology Transfer and Ramp: Participate in technology transfer, pilot-line ramp, qualification, and technology-gate activities to ensure robust processes transition successfully from development into manufacturing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers across Photolithography, Process Integration, Yield, Metrology, Etch, CMP, Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, and other technology-development functions to solve complex integration challenges.
- Global Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering teams across sites to share learning, understand common technical challenges, benchmark solutions, and accelerate technology development.
- Technical Communication: Communicate technical findings, data, recommendations, risks, and improvement opportunities clearly to engineering teams and management through technical reports, presentations, and design or process reviews.
- Technical Growth: Build progressively deeper expertise in advanced photolithography, computational methods, AI-enabled process development, and semiconductor manufacturing. Take increasing ownership of technically complex programs and broader cross-functional initiatives as experience develops.
- Safety and Compliance: Perform all development and engineering activities in accordance with applicable environmental, health, safety, quality, and operational requirements.
