Job Description – Technical Project Manager
Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Experience: 8–10 Years
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
Work Mode: Hybrid / Work from Office
Reporting To: Program Manager / Delivery Head
Client Exposure: International / US-based Clients
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with 8–10 years of experience managing end-to-end software development projects, Agile delivery, international client engagements, project financials, and cross-functional engineering teams.
The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent stakeholder management skills, and proven experience delivering complex software projects within defined timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Agile Delivery
- Manage end-to-end software development projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
- Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Define project scope, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Track project progress using Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.
2. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for international/US-based clients.
- Manage client expectations, project communications, status reporting, and steering committee meetings.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across US EST/PST time zones.
- Handle project escalations, resolve delivery challenges, and ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Team & Resource Management
- Lead cross-functional teams comprising Developers, QA, DevOps, and other technical resources.
- Manage resource allocation, team productivity, and delivery commitments.
- Identify project dependencies, resolve blockers, and ensure effective collaboration.
4. Financial & Risk Management
- Manage project budgets, P&L, resource costs, billing, and financial forecasting.
- Monitor budget utilization, cost variance, and project profitability.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Track project KPIs, including sprint velocity, burndown charts, schedule variance, CPI, and defect density.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in Technical Project Management / Software Delivery Management .
- Strong hands-on experience in Agile, Scrum, and SDLC methodologies .
- Proven experience managing end-to-end software engineering projects.
- Experience working directly with international/US-based clients .
- Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and project tracking tools .
- Experience in project budgeting, P&L management, resource billing, and cost tracking .
- Strong understanding of software development, architecture, QA, and DevOps processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and escalation-handling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across global time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Software Developer / Technical Architect .
- Certifications such as PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or PMI-ACP .
- Experience handling large-scale software engineering projects and global delivery teams.
