About the role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our service operations in Basra, ensuring the safe, efficient and profitable execution of all workshop and field service activities.

This role requires a proven operational leader with a strong track record of managing teams, service delivery and business performance within an industrial environment.
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational activities across the service center and workshops. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget while driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and promote a strong culture of safety, quality and operational excellence across all activities.
- Manage workshop and field service operations to ensure the successful delivery of customer projects.
- Oversee planning, scheduling and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and utilization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality and profitability.
- Manage operational budgets, cost control and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements and local safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with commercial, engineering and service teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
- Develop, mentor and lead a high-performing team while fostering engagement and accountability.
- Manage multiple workshops and service activities across the business unit.
- Identify and implement operational improvements that support business growth and long-term success.

Skills & Qualifications

- Significant experience in an Operations Manager, Service Manager, Workshop Manager or similar leadership role within an industrial service environment.
- Proven experience managing operations, service delivery, workshops or aftermarket activities.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, pump services, compressors, turbines or related industries is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, resources and operational performance.
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading and developing multicultural teams.
- Sound understanding of health, safety, quality and operational best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in the Middle East region will be an advantage.
