The Procurement Team owns Akamai's end-to-end supply-chain process. We establish and maintain stakeholder relationships internally and externally. We manage our suppliers to best optimize our investments and supply base. Through effective sourcing and negotiation, we constantly enable and deliver value capture (cost-saving/avoidance).

This position involves collaboration with the procurement team, IT team, global business leaders, finance teams, accounting, and international employees.

As a Procurement Analyst, you will be responsible for:

- Ensuring adherence to company policies by promoting effective procurement processes and systems.
- Analyzing spend data to uncover opportunities for reducing costs and recognizing emerging trends effectively.
- Ensuring accurate maintenance of procurement records, databases, and reports while adhering to established standards and procedures.
- Monitoring sourcing projects and purchase orders for policy and contract compliance
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders (IT, Finance, Legal) to support procurement activities
- Preparing standard procurement reports and dashboards and supporting process improvements
- Delivering excellent customer service to procurement teams and business stakeholders

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have 2+ years of relevant experience in procurement
- Demonstrate expertise in the Microsoft Office suite, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrate expertise with ERP or procurement systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Coupa, Ariba)
- Be familiar with spend analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, effectively gathering, synthesizing, and summarizing data with precision and clarity.
- Exhibit exceptional teamwork and communication abilities, showcasing proficiency in English.
- Be able to work independently learn quickly and manage multiple activities concurrently
- Have proven experience managing multi-region customers and suppliers, including a diverse supplier base
