Partner with the best

We are seeking a motivated Civil & Structural Design Engineer to join our Plant & Module Engineering (PME) team in Bangalore and contribute to the development of plant facilities and modularized solutions for energy applications. This position offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects that support the energy transition through efficient, safe, and industrialized design approaches.

As part of a dynamic engineering environment, you will support the design of structural systems and civil works associated with industrial plants, including steel structures, modules, buildings, foundations, underground networks, drainage systems, roadways, and site support. You will contribute to solutions that are integral to our plant layouts, with a focus on modularization, constructability, and lifecycle performance.

Working under the guidance of Lead and Senior Engineers, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure that designs are integrated, compliant, and aligned with project specifications, execution strategies, and customer requirements. The role offers strong exposure to global projects and a clear path to grow your technical depth within the civil and structural discipline.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Perform design, analysis, and verification of structural systems to ensure integrity, safety, and compliance with applicable codes and project specifications

- Develop engineering solutions for steel modules, platforms, pipe racks, structural steel frameworks, concrete foundations, and general civil works

- Prepare structural calculation reports, including lifting, transportation, and in-place analyses for skids and modules, for review by senior engineers

- Create and maintain accurate design documentation, including drawings, engineering specifications, bills of materials, and design change requests

- Coordinate with designers and 3D modelling teams to ensure models and drawings reflect the approved design

- Participate in design and model reviews, and incorporate comments from internal reviewers, customers, and third parties

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) to optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance

- Review supplier and vendor documents for civil and structural interfaces and technical compliance

- Provide technical support to manufacturing and site teams during fabrication, erection, and installation, addressing design-related queries

- Support Quality teams in defining inspection and testing requirements for structural fabrication

- Contribute to design standardization, digital tools, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives that reduce cost and lead time

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field; a master’s degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage

- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in civil and structural design for Oil & Gas, Industrial, or Energy plants, preferably in EPC or engineering consultancy organizations

- Have hands-on experience with structural analysis and design software ( e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, Midas, IdeaStatica, Ansys)

- Have working knowledge of 3D plant modelling tools (e.g., Tekla, AVEVA E3D) and 2D drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD)

- Have knowledge of applicable international codes and standards, such as AISC, ASCE, ACI, API, ASME, and DNV; familiarity with Indian Standards (IS 800, IS 456, IS 875, IS 1893) is an advantage

- Have exposure to skid and module design, including lifting and transportation analysis (preferred)

- Show passion for innovation, AI & digital tools, and continuous learning and improvement

- Have good written and verbal communication skills in English

- Have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions

- Be able to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders across global locations and time zones
