Solar Funding Specialist

Full-Time | Residential Solar Operations

About This Role

SpartanX is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Solar Funding Specialist to join our growing residential solar operations team.

This isn't an entry-level finance position. We're looking for someone who understands the residential solar funding process, knows how to navigate third-party ownership (TPO) financing requirements, and can take ownership of moving projects through funding milestones accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has direct solar funding experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to identify and resolve funding issues before they create unnecessary delays.

For candidates with extensive solar funding experience and demonstrated people-management skills, this position offers potential for accelerated advancement into a Supervisor or Manager role.

What You'll Do

Solar Funding & Project Management

- Manage residential solar projects through applicable funding milestones and requirements.
- Review funding packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with financing partner guidelines.
- Submit required documentation and monitor funding approvals, outstanding conditions, and payment status.
- Identify and resolve funding discrepancies, missing documents, and rejected submissions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure installation, inspection, interconnection, and other required milestones are properly documented.
- Track funding progress and proactively follow up on outstanding requirements.

Financing Partner Coordination

- Work with solar financing and TPO partners to ensure funding requirements are satisfied.
- Navigate partner portals, documentation requirements, and approval processes.
- Communicate with financing partners regarding funding holds, corrections, and outstanding conditions.
- Maintain accurate funding records and ensure timely resolution of issues.
