About this role
Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 21 years’ experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2.6 GW (1.3 operational and +1.3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, while its whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.
Opdenergy is now looking for a SAP Finance Specialist to join our Madrid team.
What will you help with?
- Provide functional support for SAP, primarily across Finance and Treasury processes.
- Analyse and resolve SAP incidents, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Support SAP system enhancements, configuration and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyse end-to-end business processes and troubleshoot issues involving different SAP modules.
- Work closely with business users to understand their needs and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Coordinate with external SAP partners and consultants on system customizations, incident resolution and advanced configuration needs.
- Support SAP upgrades, patches and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Maintain documentation related to SAP configurations, processes and system changes.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience with SAP ERP and/or SAP S/4HANA, with a strong focus on Finance.
- Strong knowledge of SAP FI, Treasury and Cash Management.
- Experience in incident analysis and resolution, with basic to intermediate SAP debugging skills.
- Good understanding of end-to-end processes and cross-module integrations, including exposure to MM, CO/PS or BW.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, BW and BPC will be highly valued.
- Spanish C2 and English C1.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities.
