You will also help manage the style guide, updating and amending as the need arises, communicate any new guidance or tips and maintain our editorial hub on Sharepoint.

You’ll help to deliver editorial training – short courses in writing, proofing and headlines, for instance – over Teams (and, occasionally, in person) as well as contribute ideas and suggestions for new training where you see a particular need.

You’ll also work closely with a handful of ESL analysts to coach them in regular 121s where needed. And you’ll liaise with line managers to provide guidance on addressing any quality issues.

In short, you’ll be a critical player in helping WoodMac to communicate clearly and professionally with our clients.

Responsibilities:

- Editing: deliver proofreading, apply style rules and ensure consistency to standards and accuracy; identify issues and escalate to editor, manage workload appropriately

- Collaboration  Develop relationships across segments, communicate clearly with analysts and collaborate with stakeholders across the business

Skills and behaviours:

- Attention to detail and strong command of grammar, style and our expectations

- Growth mindset and appetite to learn and to contribute, learning approach and techniques from the Editor
- Comfort in dealing with ambiguity and showing initiative, applying editorial principles to new situations
- Confidence in communication and contributing ideas, ability to deliver constructive feedback
- Understanding of energy landscape a bonus but not essential

Impact:

Helping to improve the quality of reports that customers receive and the smooth operation of the team, as evidenced by feedback from analysts, ideas shared around Editorial's operational efficiency and Editor's own review
