About this role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Cook to join our nursery team working between our Harbourside Nursery and the onsite Cafe in Hill Head, Fareham. In this role, you will support our Nursery Cook, in preparing food for the children in the nursery and step into the Cooks position when needed as well as supporting the Harbourside Cafe with keeping up the stock of fresh sandwiches, sausages rolls.Qualifications & Experience:Previous experience in a busy school or nursery kitchenKnowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety regulationsUnderstanding of food allergens and COSHH guidelinesAbility to work efficiently under pressureStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamPositive attitude, reliability, and trustworthinessAbility to manage daily tasks with a flexible approach to prioritizing workloadsGood rapport with childrenPosition Details:Part-time: 27.5hours week, Monday – Friday 10-3.30pm (These hours can be flexible for the right candiadte)Starting salary: £18,304.00 (based on 27.5 hrs week)If you are passionate about providing quality meals in a nursery setting and have the skills to thrive in this role, we’d love to hear from you!
