Be the difference.
If you’re an experienced social work manager or a senior practitioner ready for the next step, we want to hear from you. You’ll play a key role in shaping practice, supporting transformation, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for the people we serve.
We’re evolving the way we work through a Human Learning Systems approach — focusing on relationships, understanding lived experiences, and learning together.
For Team Managers, this means creating space for reflective practice, supporting professional judgement, and leading teams in ways that are visible, connected and grounded in local communities. You are trusted to lead creatively, responsively and humanly, rather than managing through process alone
This is your opportunity to lead a team delivering life changing social work and make a real difference in local communities across Norfolk.
Our work is rooted in relational practice. We focus on what matters to people, listen carefully, build trust, and work alongside individuals and families to help them live the lives they want. As a leader, you will model these values and support your team to work in the same way.
Through community led support, we strengthen the connections around people by drawing on local assets, networks and partnerships to support wellbeing and independence. We empower our leaders to think differently, try new approaches, and shape solutions with people, not for them.
Adult Social Services in Norfolk is on an ambitious and exciting transformation journey. We are redesigning how we work to build a system that is flexible, human and focused on better outcomes. As a Team Manager, you will help create a culture where learning is continuous, insight is shared, and innovation is encouraged and supported.
We support flexible and hybrid working, with a minimum expectation of two days per week spent in a community or office setting, helping you stay connected with colleagues, communities and the people we support.
What we offer in return.
Our superb support culture means you can really thrive as a leader, with help, advice and support on hand when needed, and great opportunities for career development. All Social Workers and Occupational Therapists including team managers are offered a protected half day per month for continuing professional development and training.
We're realistic about the challenges, but we are passionate about how we can support you to meet them, so you can enjoy the rewards social work has to offer.
If you're an experienced social care team manager or looking for the next step in your social care career and want to feel part of an organisation which makes a positive difference to those living in Norfolk, we would love to hear from you.
