Department Description

UK Global Marketing represents the global interests of Universal Music prestige labels and artists around the world. Working closely our labels and Universal affiliates worldwide, the team plans and delivers global marketing campaigns for artists across the UK roster.

We build creative, effective campaigns across marketing, promotion and other areas, adapting our approach to each artist, genre and market. That means understanding how music is discovered and consumed around the world, recognising local nuance, and staying responsive as markets and opportunities change.

Success depends on strong collaboration with colleagues across UK labels and central teams, as well as a broad understanding of different genres and territories. The team identifies opportunities and brings the right partners together to create impactful campaigns for our artists.

The Role

As a senior member of UK Global Marketing, you will help lead the day-to-day work of the international team and deliver campaigns for artists on assigned UK labels. You will oversee high-profile campaigns while managing a team whose members lead campaigns and manage responsibilities for their own artists.

You will work closely with label and central teams, Universal affiliates, media and other partners to shape and deliver international marketing and promotion plans. You will also contribute to the wider running of the department, including roster and team planning, senior-level meetings, department meetings and campaign reviews.

A key part of the role is providing the President of International with clear insight and recommendations to support strategic and campaign decisions. You will stay close to your assigned labels’ plans and priorities, translating them into direction for the Global Marketing team and Universal territories.

You will manage budgets across multiple artist campaigns, guide your team in planning and monitoring spend, and help ensure resources are used effectively. Your experience, judgement and communication will help the team build strong campaigns and deliver the best possible outcomes for our artists.

This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. A handover period is expected, subject to availability.
