About this role

Summary:

The Account Manager (AM) manages the day-to-day client relationship from onboarding through upsells and renewals, serving as the primary point of contact and strategic partner throughout the campaign lifecycle. AMs ensure consistent communication, accurate deliverables, and a seamless experience—working cross-functionally to keep projects on track, surface risks early, and maintain client confidence and revenue.

This role is responsible for client satisfaction, retention, upsells, and operational excellence, ensuring that all communication, timelines, and deliverables meet Adtaxi standards.

Although this is a remote position, candidates must reside in CO, FL, MA, MN, OH, PA, or TX.

What you will do:

- Serve as the client's main point of contact, leading all internal and external communication and meetings, and ensuring timely follow-through on all action items
- Retain and grow revenue by consistently demonstrating preparedness, accuracy, a proactive mindset, and superior customer service
- Maintain a clear communication cadence, monitor client sentiment, and proactively surface potential retention risks
- Prepare for onboarding by reviewing client documentation (briefs, IOs, goals, budgets, timelines) and setting up necessary internal assets (tasks, timelines, folders, notes)
- Lead and coordinate all internal and external onboarding calls, clearly defining expectations and responsibilities
- Ensure a smooth kickoff by coordinating with all relevant teams (Strategists, Sales, Creative, Operations) and delivering essential assets (packets, recap emails, timelines, and launch confirmations)
- Manage all client communication, including regular email and meeting cadences, documenting all interactions, and maintaining organized client folders and project documentation
- Ensure the quality of client-facing outputs by preparing meeting agendas, reviewing Account Reviews internally, and proofing all documents for clarity and accuracy before delivery
- Serve as the central communication point (client to Strategist to Operations) and ensure the Strategist is equipped with clear tasks and accurate notes for execution
- Proactively manage campaign health by monitoring weekly pacing, flagging risks (under-delivery, tracking issues, inventory), and tracking all approvals and dependencies
- Continually improve professional skills, including product knowledge, communication, documentation, and leadership
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and strong problem-solving by attending training and participating in discussions/audits

What you will bring:

- Exceptional communication skills—professional, concise, and a client-first tone
- Strong organizational ability with rigorous attention to detail
- Ability to manage timelines, dependencies, and multiple ongoing projects
- Proactive problem-solver with strong judgment and the ability to flag risks early
- Skilled at managing cross-functional workflows and ensuring accountability
- Advanced knowledge of digital advertising concepts and campaign structures (Programmatic, Search, Social) and digital advertising platforms (Programmatic, Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc.)
- Comfortable working and presenting in a high-pressure sales environment
- High emotional intelligence—maintains trust, calm, and credibility in every interaction
- Experience leading client communication, meetings, and project flow
- Prior use of CRMs (Salesforce), reporting dashboards, and task/project management tools
- Proficiency in Google Analytics and Google Ads
- Familiarity with G Suite & Microsoft Suite—Google Sheets, Excel, Docs, and standard digital reporting tools
- 2–4 years of account management experience in the digital marketing industry
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
