The Prepress Technician performs quality checks on print files and creates printing plates to ensure accurate, efficient production in the pressroom.

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Review proofs and job documentation to identify and correct errors before printing.
- Record and report daily project activity.
- Complete all required paperwork and job tracking documentation.
- Monitor prepress equipment performance and troubleshoot basic operational issues.
- Produce, punch, bend, and deliver printing plates to the pressroom.
- Operate and maintain platesetter equipment, including loading plates and replenishing chemicals as needed.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment.
- Utilize basic computer systems and software required for job processing.
- Meet production schedules and assigned project deadlines.
- Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally bend, reach, and stoop.
- Ability to distinguish colors

Qualifications:

- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
