About this role
Provides security coverage for the protection of Church property from fire, theft, vandalism, trespassing, and illegal entry; renders appropriate first aid response in medical situations occurring on Church property; renders security-related assistance to employees, visitors, tourists; makes on-the-spot decisions for necessary response.
Basic reading, writing and communications skills. Requires tact and judgment in exercising duties. Typically requires a minimum of 2-3 years security, law enforcement or military experience. Successful completion of prescribed security training and certification test within 90 day period (CPR, First Aid, Basic Security Procedures, etc.), and recertification each year thereafter. 2 years of post high school education or equivalent security training preferred. (Additional security related schooling and experience helpful.) Has no prior police record, or affiliation with anti-government or anti-Church groups. Ability to lead others communicating direction clearly.
