- Optimize platform performance and cost through workload analysis, warehouse sizing, resource monitoring, budget controls and usage attribution.
- Provide technical direction, review solution designs, resolve complex production issues and mentor engineers across data and cloud platform work.
What you bring
- Strong experience designing and operating enterprise data platforms, with advanced hands-on knowledge of Snowflake administration and engineering.
- Proficiency with SQL and Python, plus experience building reliable automation and deployment workflows through Git and continuous delivery practices.
- Experience implementing secure data-sharing, identity and access management, encryption, data protection and least-privilege role models.
- Working knowledge of public cloud services in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure and their integration with modern data platforms.
- Ability to translate business, security and operational requirements into scalable technical designs and clear implementation plans.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, problem-solving and communication skills across distributed engineering and stakeholder teams.
Bonus if you have
- Snowflake professional certification or comparable advanced platform experience.
- Experience with Databricks, Terraform, Streamlit, Snowflake Cortex or governed AI platform capabilities.
- Knowledge of PCI DSS, SOX or other controls relevant to regulated financial-services data.
- Experience supporting data-product migrations, platform modernization or high-volume client onboarding.
