MIG/TIG Welder

Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced MIG/TIG Welders for projects located in the Lebanon, OR area . This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $24-32/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

- Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on various metal components

- Complete shop fabrication, fit-up, and welding

- Perform field welding and installation as needed

- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols

- Measure, cut, fit, and fabricate components to specifications

- Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metals

- Operate grinders, saws, cutting torches, and fabrication equipment

- Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

- Follow all safety procedures and fabrication standards

Requirements

- Previous MIG and/or TIG welding experience required

- Strong fabrication and mechanical skills

- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings

- Experience with measuring, layout, and material fit-up

- Ability to produce clean, consistent, high-quality welds

- Ability to perform physically demanding shop and field work

- Ability to successfully complete a weld test

Preferred Experience:

- Structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication

- Carbon steel and stainless steel welding

- Aluminum welding

- Plasma cutting and oxy-fuel torch operation

- Grinding, finishing, and weld inspection

- Welding symbols and fabrication standards

- Operation of band saws, ironworkers, drill presses, and other shop machinery

- Forklift or skid steer operation
