🔍 The Opportunity:
Lottie is building the AI operating system for social care. Families find care through our marketplace. Care providers use Found to manage enquiries, occupancy and finances, with Eliza, our AI agent, answering family calls and chats on their behalf.
Lottie is growing fast. Care providers want what we're building, and we're heading into our next stage of growth. We need someone to get under the skin of the numbers, understand what's driving our success, and turn that into the plans, budgets and decisions that shape where we go next.
That's where you come in. You'll be the technical, commercially minded person at our CEO's side - writing the SQL, building the models and bringing the numbers that shape our biggest decisions. No middle man between the founder and the data: you go to the source yourself, work it out from first principles, turn it into a clear recommendation and then help make it happen.
With 2027 set to be Lottie’s most ambitious year yet, you'll own business planning and budgets, support investor relations and future M&A, and partner with teams across Lottie, including our commercial and marketing teams, to help them hit their goals. If you love both the data and the commercial story behind it, this is the role for you!
💻 What does this role involve?
- Shape where Lottie goes next: Work directly with the execs on the biggest calls we make - pricing, where we invest, what we build - and own the analysis that decides them.
- Sit at the heart of the business: Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Product, Ops and Finance to uncover what's really driving performance, and help each team act on it.
- Help build the plan: Work with leadership on the annual plan, budgets and forecasts - the models we actually use to make decisions.
- Investor relations: Own the financial models and be the go-to person for investors on all things numbers.
- Turn insight into change: Take a question from analysis all the way to delivery, running it like a PM so the business actually moves.
- Build, don't inherit: Use SQL, Python and AI to build the tools and processes a scaling company needs, from first principles.
💪 What problems will you be solving?
- Financial modelling: Build and maintain the financial models that leadership uses to plan, test scenarios and make decisions
- The data behind our success: Why is a new growth channel working so well, and how do we double down on it?
- Pricing & unit economics: What drives margin in each product, and where pricing and packaging can lift it.
- Board-ready numbers: Models, metrics and reporting that stand up to the scrutiny of investors.
- M&A: Identify, evaluate and understand strategic acquisitions that accelerate Lottie growth.
- Getting to the "why": Moving from what the numbers say to why they say it, and what we should do about it.
👀 We think you'll be a great fit if you…
- Understand financial statements - Understand and interpret financial statements, including the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statement, to assess business performance, identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
- You are genuinely technical - you write your own SQL, work in git, are comfortable in Python and build financial models from scratch.
- Work deeply with AI - you use tools like Claude every day to query data, build models and move faster.
- Are commercially minded and keen to lean into finance - you understand how a business makes money and want to grow into budgets, forecasts and investor models.
- Think from first principles and get quickly to how a business really makes money.
- Can take a messy question, get to the data yourself and present a clear recommendation to a founder and leadership team.
- Enjoy working closely with a founder - direct, curious and comfortable challenging up.
- Are a builder, not just a modeller - you take a topic, run it like a PM and make it happen across the business at startup pace.
Sound like you but not quite 100%? Apply anyway - we're looking for potential and passion, not a perfect CV match.
💔 This role isn't for you if you...
- Need someone else to pull the data. Here you write the SQL, build the model and own the answer.
- Want to hand over a deck and walk away. We need someone who sees the decision through and makes the change happen.
- Like analysis but shy away from action that comes from it. You'll be expected to make the call and defend it with the CEO and the leadership team.
- Need a clear playbook and constant direction . Most of what you'll work on hasn't been done here before.
- Want to stay in your lane. This role spans Growth, Product, Ops and Finance, often in the same week.
