About this role
About Marea
Marea is an AI-powered platform purpose-built for the dental industry, helping practices capture more revenue, reduce operational workload, and modernize patient communication. With products like an AI receptionist and clinical transcription integrated with leading dental PMS systems, Marea is redefining how dental practices operate.
We sell into single-location practices, multi-location groups, and DSOs, often in partnership with PMS and ecosystem players. This is an early-stage, high-velocity environment with strong backing and a clear mandate to scale.
Marea is part of Fluent Software Group (a Valsoft Corporation operating group), a global acquirer and operator of vertical market software businesses. We focus on specialized industries where expertise creates lasting advantages.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a BDR who knows how to turn a call into a conversation. You’ll connect with dental practice managers and owners, understand their needs, and book qualified demos for our Account Executives, with uncapped commission rewarding the opportunities you create. You’ll work closely with a small sales team, see your contribution to Marea’s growth, and build skills that can help you progress in the company.
Location: Canada (remote)
The base salary is $50,000 CAD per year, plus uncapped commission. On-target earnings are approximately $62,000 CAD annually. Exceed your qualified-demo targets and you can earn beyond that amount, with no cap on commission.
What You’ll Own
Outbound prospecting
- Contact dental practices and start conversations with office managers and practice owners.
- Introduce Marea’s solutions, respond to objections, and arrange follow-up calls.
Qualification and demo booking
- Understand each practice’s challenges, including missed calls and time spent on administrative work.
- Qualify opportunities by confirming the practice’s needs and connecting with the relevant decision-maker.
- Book demos with Account Executives.
Handoff and follow-through
- Send invitations, confirm attendance, and reschedule meetings when needed.
- Introduce the Account Executive at the start of demos and share the context gathered.
- Record conversations and next steps in HubSpot.
What We’re Looking For
- At least one year of outbound sales experience.
- A demonstrated track record of booking qualified meetings through an efficient outbound strategy.
- Confidence reaching decision-makers, asking relevant questions, and handling objections.
- Persistence, strong organization, and the ability to put feedback into practice.
- Fluent spoken and written English to communicate with dental practices across North America.
- Familiarity with HubSpot or Salesforce.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience selling to dental, medical, or other appointment-based businesses.
- SaaS sales experience.
Why Marea?
- Uncapped earning potential: earn commission on qualified demos held, with higher per-demo payouts as monthly volume increases.
- Visible impact: on a small team, the opportunities you create contribute directly to the company’s growth.
- Room to grow: work closely with Account Executives and develop your sales skills, with potential progression into an SDR or Account Executive role.
