About this role

When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.

We are seeking a Research Program Administrator to manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of Dr. Robert Yeh’s research portfolio at the Richard A. and Susan F. Smith Institute for Evidence, Innovation, and Policy. Working under the direction of Administrative Director Joanne Laffan and Dr. Yeh, the Program Manager will keep research projects moving forward by coordinating activities, tracking deadlines and deliverables, anticipating operational needs, and ensuring timely follow-through.

Dr. Yeh’s research evaluates the safety, effectiveness, quality, and value of cardiovascular devices and therapies using clinical registries, electronic health record data, administrative claims data, and multi-site collaborations. The portfolio includes investigator-initiated and sponsored studies supported by the National Institutes of Health, the American College of Cardiology, and industry sponsors. This position does not involve patient recruitment or direct patient care.

The Program Administrator will partner with investigators, administrative staff, biostatisticians, research fellows, external collaborators, sponsors, and institutional offices to support research projects throughout their lifecycle. Responsibilities include study start-up, regulatory submissions, contractual coordination, grant submissions, budget tracking, sponsor communications, reporting, and closeout.

The successful candidate will take ownership of assigned projects and operational processes, resolve routine issues independently, and bring matters requiring administrative or scientific decisions to the appropriate leadership. Success means maintaining a clear view of project status, anticipating barriers, and following through on next steps with minimal prompting, reducing the day-to-day coordination burden on the Administrative Director and Dr. Yeh.
