About the Role:
Crusoe is on a mission to align the future of computing with the future of the climate. As our Staff Enterprise Technology Administrator, People Tech, you will be a senior technology owner for Crusoe’s People Technology platforms, spanning Workday, ADP Workforce Now, and adjacent systems. You’ll lead hands-on platform administration, integration, and delivery work, serve as the primary escalation point for platform incidents, and help shape the multi-year roadmap for the domain, partnering with the Architect track on architecture decisions that span multiple enterprise domains. With Workday going live in early 2027, you’ll join at a pivotal moment: stabilizing our Phase 1 launch, driving Phase 2, and building the operational foundation our People Technology platform will run on for years to come.
This is a full-time, in-person position based in our San Francisco or Sunnyvale, CA office. The ideal candidate brings deep, hands-on Workday configuration and administration experience, with a track record of both net-new implementations and sustained post-go-live support at scale. You are a decisive problem solver and effective communicator who excels at translating business needs into elegant system configurations, navigating ambiguity, and building trusted partnerships across People Operations, Recruiting, and Total Rewards.
What You'll Be Working On:
- Workday Go-Live & Hypercare: Support Phase 1 go-live readiness, defect triage, and hypercare, driving stabilization and a seamless transition from legacy tools.
- Phase 2 Delivery: Lead scoping, business process design, and hands-on configuration for Phase 2 modules, and contribute to the multi-year Workday roadmap.
- ADP Workforce Now Integration: Support the delivery and ongoing monitoring of the Workday–ADP integration, including payroll data flows, output files, reconciliation workflows, and parallel run testing.
- Support Model & Governance: Build Crusoe’s People Tech operational support model, including request intake workflows, tiering pathways, and configuration change control processes.
- Security & System Configuration: Own hands-on configuration of Workday HCM and specialized modules, including domain security, business process frameworks, role-based access control, and segregation of duties (SOD).
- People Team Partnership: Serve as the primary technical partner to People Operations, Recruiting Ops, Total Rewards, and Payroll, translating business goals into automated, maintainable system solutions.
- Reporting, Analytics & Data Quality: Build and maintain custom reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and Prism Analytics models that deliver workforce insights, headcount tracking, and compliance reporting.
- Incident Leadership: Serve as the primary escalation point for People Tech platform incidents, driving root-cause analysis, cross-system troubleshooting, and remediation.
- Vendor & Ecosystem Management: Manage technical relationships with Workday and third-party providers, including support escalations, roadmap updates, and semi-annual release adoption.
- Team Development & Mentorship: Mentor P2 and P3 administrators, model technical execution standards, and help develop the next generation of platform practitioners.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Deep Workday Expertise: 8+ years of enterprise systems experience, including at least 4 years of deep, hands-on Workday configuration and implementation.
- Implementation & Support Track Record: Experience delivering net-new Workday implementations from discovery through cutover, plus 2+ years of sustained post-launch administration.
- Workday Configuration Proficiency: Advanced hands-on skills across Workday HCM Core, calculated fields, business process frameworks, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and custom report writing.
- Payroll & Third-Party Integration Knowledge: Working knowledge of enterprise payroll integrations (ideally ADP Workforce Now) and third-party benefits and data exchange.
- Scale & Complexity: Experience implementing or supporting Workday at high-growth, mid-to-large-scale organizations.
- Ownership & Autonomy: Ability to own a technology domain end to end, shaping roadmaps, driving complex projects forward, and making sound decisions without complete information.
- Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to influence cross-functional and VP-level leaders and explain technical constraints in business terms.
- Required Foundational Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
Bonus Points
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Active Workday Pro certifications in one or more functional tracks (HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Reporting, or Payroll).
- Experience with Workday Studio, PICOF, or PECI integration frameworks.
- Prior background in enterprise systems consulting, combined with in-house administrative ownership.
- Working familiarity with adjacent people platforms such as Greenhouse, Lattice, or similar.
