Role Overview

We are looking for a Materials Master Data Governance Lead to manage the quality, structure, and approval of materials master data. You will help ensure item records, attribute setup, supplier relationships, and related controls are maintained consistently across the business, while supporting process improvements and cross-functional coordination.

What you will do

- Oversee the creation, maintenance, validation, and governance of materials master data across relevant enterprise systems.
- Ensure accurate setup of item attributes such as item numbers, descriptions, units of measure, lifecycle phase, and supplier relationships.
- Maintain data standards and support compliance with procurement policies, approval requirements, and global governance practices.
- Lead data quality reviews, exception resolution, and issue tracking for master data changes and requests.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, IT, and business users on master data conversions, validations, migrations, and system changes.
- Support approval workflows for item and supplier-related changes, including review of required documentation and escalation of exceptions.
- Partner with stakeholders to improve master data processes, reduce manual rework, and strengthen reporting reliability.
- Act as a subject matter expert for materials master data topics and provide guidance to users and team members.

How you will do it

- You will own data quality outcomes with accountability, integrity, and a strong focus on accurate and compliant master data.
- You will stay close to the work by understanding how item and supplier data is used across procurement, finance, and operations, then removing obstacles that slow the process.
- You will improve every day by questioning gaps, resolving root causes, and refining controls, workflows, and standard work.
- You will win as one team by working openly with cross-functional partners, listening to different perspectives, and aligning on practical solutions.
- You will use clear communication, structured follow-up, and disciplined documentation to keep requests moving and stakeholders informed.

What are we looking for?

- University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6 years of experience in materials master data, item master, vendor master, procurement operations, supply chain, or a related governance role.
- Experience managing master data accuracy, approvals, controls, and issue resolution in a business or ERP environment.
- Working knowledge of ERP workflows and enterprise data processes, ideally with exposure to Oracle Fusion, SAP S/4, or Baan.
- Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and maintain a high standard of documentation and follow-through.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across Procurement, Finance, IT, and business teams.

Nice to Have

- Experience supporting data conversions, validations, or system migration activities.
- Experience with supplier onboarding, supplier master changes, or procurement governance processes.
- Exposure to approval workflow design, process improvement, or master data standardization initiatives.

What do we offer ?

- Comprehensive benefits package.
- Opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Supportive and inclusive work environment.
- Commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being.
- Engagement in meaningful projects that make a difference.
