Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Description The Accounts Receivable Specialist processes accounts and incoming payments in strict compliance with established financial policies and procedures. This role manages the full accounts receivable cycle, from billing and collections to cash application and reporting, ensuring accurate records, timely payments, and a clear view of the organizations receivables position. Responsibilities

- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
- Prepare and issue bills and invoices accurately and on time.
- Prepare and reconcile bank deposits to ensure all receipts are properly recorded.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to confirm that all payments are accounted for and correctly posted.
- Identify, verify, and resolve discrepancies in accounts receivable records and client billing.
- Investigate and resolve clients billing issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Facilitate payment of invoices by sending bill reminders and contacting clients regarding outstanding balances.
- Perform B2B collections activities, including follow-up with business customers on past-due accounts.
- Apply cash receipts accurately to customer accounts and invoices.

Essential Skills

- At least 5+ years of accounts receivable (AR) experience.
- Proven experience handling both manual and automated accounts receivable processes.
- Strong proficiency with Excel for tracking, reconciling, and reporting accounts receivable data.
- Hands-on B2B collections experience, including follow-up on past-due accounts and payment negotiations.
- Cash applications experience, including accurate posting of payments to customer accounts and invoices.
- Ability to reconcile complex accounts receivable ledgers and resolve discrepancies.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and record keeping.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients regarding billing and payments.
- Ability to work independently and manage day-to-day financial transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience working in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Comfort working with both traditional, manual AR workflows and modern, automated systems.
- Ability to generate clear, concise financial statements and status reports for internal stakeholders.

Work Environment This position is fully onsite, working Monday through Friday. The role operates in a professional office environment within a diversified business that has a long history of innovation and advanced automation, robotics, and custom-engineered solutions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
